The plan

June 18, 2021

“A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving.”

— Laozi

The plan is not to have a plan. Which, in turn, is a plan. I’m exaggerating, the plan consist of two little words with a huge impact; ride east. The map above is a very loose indication of the route. The fun thing about cycling is that you can make decisions as you go. “Should I stay in Bulgaria a couple of days longer, or do I cross over into Greece?” I don’t rule out the possibility of taking a plane to Japan or America somewhere at the end of this route, and extend my travels with god-knows-how-long.

Sure I’m planning. I’m planning gear, Corona vaccinations and the things I need to tie up here before I leave. But time and space I will try not to plan. I’m expecting to be gone for at least a year, and even that could easily be prolonged.

Loads of uncertainty, can’t wait to leave.
